Today's ride began at 05:20 Temp 68F by 08:00 73F
Lightning in the distance. Attemped to out run the storm that was moving South to North. Made it ~32 miles when the rains began in earnest and lighting moved in. Sheltered in the van until the storm blew through. Back in the saddle until mile 36 where massive road construction was underway. An 18 mile section of MT 200 was dirt, now mud from the storm. No cyclists were allowed to transit. Diane was already in the line for the pilot car when she spoke to Kat who was directing traffic and explained there was a cyclist that needed to get through. Kat contacted Construction foreman Dylan. He ended up driving me through to meet Diane. I cruised through the mud in the back of his truck. Finished the ride sans 18.3 miles of construction.
